Proclamation Guidelines (pdf)

Thank you for your interest in obtaining a proclamation from the Governor’s office. Throughout Nevada’s history, Governors have been pleased to provide proclamations declaring the importance of certain dates and observances. In most instances, proclamations are limited to declaring selected public observances as an important part of Nevada’s shared history. If you would like to request a proclamation to declare a public observance, please complete the form below and include suggested language for your proclamation. Please note that due to the number of requests received, proclamation requests must be received at least 30 days in advance. In addition, proclamation requests should include four to six “Whereas” clauses. Some requests may be addressed through a special certificate or letter of greeting, rather than a gubernatorial proclamation. For additional information, please click the “Proclamation Guidelines” link above
